Samsung Galaxy S5, Gear 2, Gear Fit Videos Show Off New Devices

Samsung Electronics debuted not one, but more than three new products at the Mobile World Congress 2014 last month. Together with its next generation smartphone Samsung Galaxy S5 are gadgets like the Gear 2 and Gear Fit which belong more specifically to the wearables category.

Samsung often crams capabilities into its products so that it is quite difficult to tackle all of their technical specs completely. While Samsung has already issued the specifications of its set of newly-launched devices, the electronics maker has now provided a new video offering a closer look at GS5 and the new wearables.

CNET reported the Korean giant has released several videos for the Galaxy S5, Gear 2, and Gear Fit to give an in-depth look at the new devices' features.

Galaxy S5 features shown in the video include its fitness apps and camera. For the Gear 2 and Gear Fit, the video presented the capabilities of their tweaked user interface as well as how the heart rate monitor works. For Gear 2, the video shows how the music player works when it can run without a smartphone connection. For the Gear Fit, users can see how to customize its features.

New features of Galaxy S5 that have been receiving much attention include the heart rate sensor and fingerprint scanner, although the handset has muchmore functionality beyond those. In the looks department, Samsung still has room for improvement to re-inspire its fans. Users that value aesthetics may opt to wait for the iPhone 6 and and the upcoming followup to the attractive HTC One.
