Samsung's Galaxy S6 was launched only a little more than three months ago but there is already a clamor for more information regarding the upcoming seventh generation of the popular handset series.

In true Samsung fashion, not much details regarding the new installment have been released, however, there are plenty of rumors surrounding the release date and the specifications of the phone, which can already be found online. And they are without a doubt interesting.

The Samsung Galaxy S-series, which first came out five years ago, is widely considered as one of the tech giant's most successful flagship smartphone offerings, having sold over 200 million since the first iteration was made available in 2010.

The line includes the Samsung Galaxy S, Samsung Galaxy S II, Samsung Galaxy S III, Samsung Galaxy S4, Samsung Galaxy S5 and the most recent version, Samsung GalaxySs6.

Because of the success of the line, it can already be expected that Samsung would come out with yet another smartphone for the Galaxy S series. According to Trustedreviews.com, the Samsung Galaxy S7 would most likely come out in April of next year. With most of the previous S series phones coming out around the same time, this speculation is certainly not at all unfounded.

There are also rumors surrounding the specs of the upcoming offering. A report by galaxys6samsung has detailed the specs which the phone will probably come equipped with.

In the article, the Galaxy S7 would most likely have 4GB of RAM which is 1GB more than its predecessor. Rumors also hint that the phone would pack an impressive 10 MP front camera and a whopping 30 MP camera for the rear. It is also expected that with the recent outdoor trends, the phone would be waterproof.

None of the speculations surrounding the upcoming release have been confirmed by Samsung. It is, however, a long way to go before April 2016 arrives, so enthusiasts should expect more Galaxy S7 news.
