Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 specs, release date: Leaked images show metal and glass features, keypad support

The design of the upcoming tablet device Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 might have been leaked.

Evan Blass, the consistent source of leaked information about upcoming gadgets, shared the image of what he claims is the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 on Twitter. The image showcases a larger Android tablet that comes with a physical Home button with capacitive Back and Recent Apps buttons. It also features a physical keypad.

While Blass does not reveal which model of Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 is shown on his post, it can be speculated that it might be one of the higher-end models of the upcoming tablet because of its size.

Meanwhile, other reports also posted another set of leaked live images of the Galaxy Tab S3. The images feature the device's glass and metal build, as well as its similarity with its predecessor known as the Galaxy Tab S2.

Reports also mention that the device with the model number SM-T820 already passed the federal certification in Taiwan based on the leaked certification listing. But based on the details on the listing, only the WiFi variant of the device will be released in Taiwan.

Previous reports about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 claimed that the device will feature a 32 GB internal storage space with Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and 4 GB of RAM.

The next-generation tablet from the South Korean tech firm is also expected to come out with a 12-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front camera. It will also reportedly come with a 4G support for Cat. 6 LTE download speeds. The upcoming tablet is also expected to have an S Pen stylus support and a 5,770 mAh battery for longer life.

Samsung is expected to launch its new Galaxy Tab S3, along with the other upcoming product lines, during the company's press presentation at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017 on Sunday, Feb. 26, in Barcelona, Spain.
