The meeting between the camp of Alvarez and Cotto is now nearing its end as both parties are finalizing the other details for the match including where the fight will be held.

According to Miguel Cotto's legal adviser, Gaby Penagaricano via Boxing Scene, the two camps, Golden Promotions and Roc Nation Sports, have just recently decided on the date for the fight and it will be held on Nov. 21. However, as for the venue, Penagaricano has shared that the two camps are still deciding on whether to let the match take place in Mandalay Bay or Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas.

"So everything is on track... November 21. We have discussed that it could take place in both New York and Las Vegas. We still have the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas as an option, but equally we have another venue," Penagaricano told ESPN Deportes via Latino Post.

"What it is no longer considered is the MGM Grand, but we could also make it at the Mandalay Bay, a location where Oscar fought Tito and a huge opportunity for the rivalry between Mexico and Puerto Rico. But there is still nothing definite. Ourselves, Golden Boy Promotions and Roc Nation Sports - we are focused on maximizing everything in this negotiation," he added.

Cotto has recently won and defended his title against Daniel Geale last June 6, 2015. He won the fight by knocking out Geale during the fourth round of the match, BBC reported.

Meanwhile, as for the upcoming fight of the two boxers, Christian Today reported that Abel Sanchez, the trainer of Gennady Gennadyvich Golovkin, has predicted that Alvarez might have the upper hand in the upcoming match. He explained that two factors to take note here are Alvarez's young age and of course, his enthusiasm for boxing, as mentioned on that report.

The Saul "Canelo" Alvarez vs. Miguel Cotto match is going to be held on Nov. 21. The venue is still being decided.
