Rumors have plagued the second season of "Scream Queens," especially since not much is known about its storyline, so much so that not even star Glen Powell knows about it.

Powell, who played Chad Radwell in the first season, admitted to Variety that he's not aware of his character's storyline in the upcoming season. He is sure, however, that he will be there to provide some sort of comic relief.

"The beauty of that character is he's not really a character that fits into the plot necessarily — he's just a guy who's there to make you laugh so that's why I kind of love him so much," Powell said. "To be honest with you, I saw Brad [Falchuk] at his birthday the other day the day before I left for Texas, but I have not talked to Brad about it at all so all I know is that it's at some sort of mental institution."

Although not a lot has been revealed, co-creator Brad Falchuk did tell ET Online that the second season will see "a lot of very strange patients." Since the show will be set in a hospital, "We can expect our characters interacting with them in different and odd ways. We can expect a lot of the same kind of humor, and a lot of the same kind of messaging," Falchuk continued.

In other news, the rumor about a male popstar joining the season 2 roster has been going around for a while now, and it has been speculated that the role will be filled in by none other than One Direction member Harry Styles. The British singer has not confirmed or hinted at his inclusion, though.

The rumor started out when star Lea Michele, who plays Hester Ulrich, talked to InStyle about Styles' possible appearance on the show.

Other than Styles, another (former) One Direction member has been speculated to grace the upcoming installment. Rumors have been flying that Zayn Malik has signed on to guest star in the second season of the Fox comedy horror series, however, nothing has been confirmed.

"Scream Queens" is expected to premiere in October.
