Earlier this month, it was confirmed that Sikander Kher will be joining the cast of "Sense8" season two and rumors are rife on the potential role that the Hindi actor will play.

Refusing to give too many details about his character, Kher said in a statement: "I was approached for the show a few months back. It's a small but an important role, and it takes the story ahead."

According to The Christian Times, rumor has it that Kher will play a villainous role. While there has been no confirmation as production strives to keep any information from leaking ahead of the second season's release, Kher would be a good villain, considering the good reviews his acting received from Hindi media.

Kher is known for his performance in the Indian version of "24," wherein he played Haroon Sherchan, a character based on the American version's Hector Salazar. In the American "24," Salazar is a drug ring leader who runs his family's drug business while his brother, Ramon, is in prison.

With the experience needed for a villain role, Kher just may sit well with Terrence Mann's Mr. Whispers. Whatever he will be tasked to do, it is imminent that the 34-year-old actor's casting is vital to keep the sensates' stories running.

Meanwhile, it is expected that the sensates will explore their powers deeper in the second season of the hit show. In season one, the sensates were able to connect with others of their kind living in this generation. In the upcoming episodes, they will be able to see through the lives of sensates who lived in the past.

Other stories which will be explored in the upcoming episodes include that of Rajan (Purab Kohli) and Kala (Tina Desai), whose love story was tainted by the entry of Wolfgang (Max Riemelt).

A set photo released earlier last month showed Kala in Rajan's arms and the couple seem to be enjoying the sweet moment. It is speculated that Kala will choose Rajan over Wolfgang, even if she appeared to have developed feelings for Wolfgang in the first installment.

"Sense8" season two is expected to premiere sometime late 2016 or early 2017.
