FYI has recently been in hot water with the recent controversy surrounding their most recent social experiment/reality show, "Married At First Sight." Because of the allegations that the network did not do enough to protect its participants, which has resulted in a restraining order, FYI has since cancelled the show.

With one of their most lucrative shows gone, the network has launched a new reality series that explores the vows of marriage.

"Seven Year Switch," which debuted last July 7, focuses on married couples who have admitted that they are no longer happy with their respective mates. The show's experts have paired up one unhappily married wife to an unhappily married husband and the reality show would detail the pair doing the things that normal married men and women do — eating, living and yes, even sleeping with these total strangers.

Gena McCarthy, senior vice president of Programming and Development of FYI, described the show as an experiment to determine whether absence really does make the heart grow fonder, without mentioning how the show advocates adultery.

Unsurprisingly, people are not buying into this kind of experiment with many saying that it is immoral and that the show belittles and makes a mockery of marriage.

People have already voiced out their opinions about the show on the series' official "Facebook" page and it is not a long shot to say that they are certainly not pleased.

Rose Adwell said, "This is a train wreck waiting to happen."

"This is a really bad idea. Putting people in tempting situations. Def not healthy. I would never agree to this nonsense. Lol," claimed Barbara Mauriello.

While a user named Frost, commented, "I have watched this show, however I have a very difficult time believing that any psychotherapist would think that this is a healthy approach to helping an already strained marriage....in particular the couple that has already been unfaithful."

Despite the controversy and criticism, the network has still greenlighted five more episodes. "Seven Year Switch" airs every Tuesday on FYI.
