'Shameless' season 8 rumors: Fiona to sell the bags of meth Monica left?

(Facebook/Shameless)Will Fiona be shameless, too, in "Shameless" season 8?

While Fiona (Emmy Rossum) is expected to focus on her real estate business in the upcoming season 8 of "Shameless," it is suspected that she may engage in illegal drug trade, too, when the Showtime dramedy series returns for its latest installment this year.

The season 7 finale of "Shameless" showed Fiona giving up her laundromat business and eventually purchasing a building. Now that she has freed herself from the responsibilities as a parent to her siblings, it is alleged that she will have more time to focus on her latest business venture in the upcoming season 8 of the series.

Despite having adhered to her own set of moral standards in "Shameless," though, it is said that she might be finally tempted to resort into doing something that is morally unacceptable. According to the latest rumors, "Shameless" season 8 may finally highlight the fact that Fiona is, indeed, Frank's (William Macy) daughter as she might engage in illegal drug trade, too, for the sake of her new business venture.

To recall, it has been revealed that Monica (Chloe Webb) left bags of meth after she died in the previous season. As Fiona was seen placing two of the bags in her mother's coffin, some now suspect that she must have kept the others in her possession. While it is unlikely for Fiona to use the illegal drugs, some opine that she may finally sell them to help fund her real estate business.

Meanwhile, apart from the speculations on Fiona finally throwing out her moral cloak, it is suspected that Shameless season 8 will cast the spotlight on Lip (Jeremy Allen White) as he goes back to college in the next installment of the Showtime family dramedy. After all, it was Lip himself who expressed his desire to go back to school in the season 7 finale episode as he wants to fix his life.

"Shameless" season 8 is reported to begin its production this May and is expected to start airing this fall.
