'Sleepy Hollow' season 3 episode 10 preview: Crane searches for Abbie in his astral form

(Fox/Official Facebook page)

"Sleepy Hollow" is back on air and it calls for a double celebration. Not only has the popular supernatural series returned, viewers discovered that Abbie was still alive! But how long will she remain that way is the question, especially now that monsters of all kind are headed to town.

Episode 9 of "Sleepy Hollow" season 3 gave Ichabod (Tom Mison), and fans, proof that Abbie (Nicole Beharie) is still alive. The feisty lieutenant was able to reach out to her Witness partner and to Sophie, of all people, after Ichabod used a Lydian jug to reach out to her. But as Crane mentioned, Abbie is dying and needs to get back to her own world soon.

Crane will reportedly do something drastic to save his partner in the show's newest episode. According to a synopsis for episode 10, "Incident at Stone Manor," Crane, Jenny (Lyndie Greenwood), Joe (Zach Appelman) and Sophie (Jessica Camacho) have to fight off a supernatural force aiming for the citizens of "Sleepy Hollow." Meanwhile, Pandora (Shannyn Sossamon) and The Hidden One (Peter Mensah) appear to be growing stronger.

The episode's corresponding trailer shows what drastic measure Crane will undertake to find his petite partner. The clip starts with a shot of Abbie looking around, stating that she's "not in Kansas anymore." Crane is then shown shouting for the lieutenant while Joe and Jenny explain to Sophie that Crane released his "astral form" to search for Abbie. A gargoyle like creature attacks people and The Hidden One and Pandora are also shown. The Hidden One tells his wife that mortals "should pay for what they've done." Sophie is seen shooting at something, probably the gargoyle. The clip ends with Crane saying that "haters gonna hate," something that fans will undoubtedly enjoy.

While the two Witness appear to have found each other in that nether realm, there's no certainty that Crane will be able to bring his partner back.

Hopefully, episode 10 will reveal that and more when "Sleepy Hollow" season 3 returns to TV screens on Feb. 12.
