Snap Inc.'s first hardware product, the Spectacles, was made available last year through a few pop-up vending machines. But with its success, the company has decided to produce more units of the video-recording Spectacles.

The trendy sunglasses with a built-in camera costs $129.99. For the said price, buyers will get a case that also serves as a charger and a cable, along with the Spectacles. In case consumers need an extra case or an extra cable, they can be purchased separately. The case costs $49.99, while the cable costs $9.99.

The Snapchat Spectacles are now available for purchase online. The gadget is available on the Spapchat Spectacles official website. A few online retailers might also be carrying the product; however, online sellers might sell it at a different rate. As for their travelling vending machines, also known as Snapbots, the company has decided to put those on hold, and they decided to close the pop-up shop in New York City. Snap has yet to announce when the pop-up vending machines will resume their route.

As to why Snap decided to change its limited release strategy, a spokesperson explained, "We're going to take a slow approach to rolling them out. It's about us figuring out if it fits into people's lives and seeing how they like it."

Customers who order the Spectacles today will be able to get their hands on the product in two to four weeks. Like last year's batch of hardware, the Spectacles come in three color variants: coral, black, and teal.

For the uninitiated, Snap's smartglasses are capable of capturing photos and recording 10-second video clips. The device can be supported by Android and iOS devices, but it can also stand alone, and carry up to 200 snaps. Syncing the Spectacles to a mobile device, however, is recommended for storage purposes.
