One of his teachers reportedly said that Joong-Ki was one of the top 10 students in his school. The teacher added that the star could easily go to the best universities if he wanted to.

Meanwhile, a letter, which was supposedly written by one of his high school teachers, has gone viral and making the rounds on the Internet. The letter was said to be written in 2010 and addressed the star fondly.

In the letter, the teacher has nothing but kind words for his now-popular student. He mentioned that seeing him on TV made him feel nostalgic as he remembered the time when the actor was working hard as a student in order to fulfill his dreams.

The teacher also revealed in the letter that the actor's original dream was to be a news anchor, so he was surprised to see him become one of the most popular stars in just a short period of time. "I didn't think you would establish yourself so quickly," the letter reads.

Aside from that, he fondly remembers the placard Joong-Ki gave him on Teacher's Day with the inscription, "The best teacher since the founding of the country."
