Sony has started taking pre-orders for the latest Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact via the official Sony Mobile store, gearing up for its release date Nov.2, and the pre-order price tag starts at $499.99.

The Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact specs features a weight of 270 grams and the tablet is 6.4 mm thin.

In addition, it sports an 8-inch TRILUMINOUS Display for mobile with 1920 x 1200 pixels resolution, 8.1 MP rear-facing camera, 2.2 MP front-facing camera, 3 GB RAM, 2.5 GHz, waterproof and dust tight certifications and a 4500 mAh battery pack.

The tablet runs Android 4.4 KitKat and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor.

The Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact highlights a number of functionalities and features including entertainment portability with cutting-edge visual technology.

The new tablet, just like the rest of Xperia Z3 family members, highlights PS4 Remote Play for gaming enthusiasts.

Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact is going up against a multitude of big names in the tablet market.

Apple recently unwrapped iPad Mini 3 and iPad Air 2, equipped with Retina Display, Apple Pay, HealthKit app and Touch ID technology.

Google on the other hand, is re-introducing the Nexus brand into the mobile realm with Nexus 9 tablet, alongside Nexus 6 smartphone.

Shipping of the new Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact tablet will begin on its Nov. 2 release date.
