The Japanese tech giant has been expected to launch the Xperia Z4 in April with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset, 3GB RAM, 32GB onboard storage, 20.7MP rear camera, 5MP front-facing camera, and Android 5.0 or 5.1 Lollipop out of the box. There have been a slew of leaks showing purported official press renders and live images of the Xperia Z4. According to latest reports, all earlier image leaks related to the Xperia Z4 actually depicted the Xperia Z3 Neo, and the Xperia Z4 will arrive at a later date.

WikiLeaks, a non-profit organization established in 2006 that aims to unveil secret and highly sensitive documents, has just released a massive database of Sony's internal documents, including e-mail messages, presentations, and spreadsheets, among others. According to extracted renders of the Xperia Z4 from the leaked Sony documents, the upcoming Xperia Z will feature a seamless, sleek design with a full metal build. The Xperia Z4 will also include a fingerprint scanner in a newly designed power button.

Recent reports have claimed that Sony will unveil a new Xperia smartphone in Japan, possibly the Xperia Z4, on April 20 in Japan, its home country. According to reports in the Japanese media, the company has sent local invites to the local media for an event to be held on April 20 at 12:00 p.m. Sony has not confirmed this rumor and there is no concrete evidence to suggest that the mysterious device to be released on April 20 will be the Xperia Z4, though the slew of image leaks and speculations indicate that the upcoming Android smartphone could be Xperia Z4.
