Leaked Pre-Alpha gameplay footage of Free Radical's cancelled Star Wars: Battlefront 3 has recently leaked on the internet in the form of two videos.

"Some footage of the build of Star Wars Battlefront 3 that got canceled," a YouTube user BananaSwag writes in description of the first video.

"This build is from 2007 and was ported over from the PC. This content is not mine, it is the property of Disney. No copyright intended, this is purely for review of the build," the user wrote.

"The game looked very fun to play and runs pretty well other then the obvious frame rate drops. It is very sad that this game got canceled although there is one being made by DICE now. This is being run on an Xbox 360 for those of you that got confused," the user explained.

The videos, which denote "Alpha" in both titles, are pretty rough and obviously in the infancy stage of development.

The trailers showcase vehicles, playable characters, setting and gameplay.

Star Wars fans can easily recognize the presence of Han Solo, Chewbacca, Princess Leia, Anakin Skywalker, Luke Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Yoda and others.

There was a chain of events that took place prior to the cancellation, but very little is known about the real reason why the game did not push through.

"Free Radical, best known for its work on the TimeSplitters franchise, had a deal with EA to create the third and fourth entries in the Battlefront franchise, though this was cancelled and the developer fell into administration. It was then bought and rebranded as Crytek UK, which has since become Deep Silver Dambuster Studios and is working on Homefront: The Revolution," IGN reports.

During E3 2014, EA presented a new entry in the franchise entitled Star Wars: Battlefront.
