Players will want to get their wallets and bank accounts ready as the start date for this year's Steam Summer Sale may have just been revealed.

This time around the leak comes courtesy of Reddit user "MrFreemanBBQ."

According to a recent post by the Reddit user, the sale will start on June 23 and run all the way up to July 4. The post even detailed the specific start and end times of the upcoming sale, indicating that it will begin at 9:45 a.m. Pacific on June 23 and end on July 4 at 10 a.m. Pacific.

Though the new leak still has to be regarded as a rumor at this point, there may be good reason to buy into its potential legitimacy.

As Gamespot noted, this is not the first time that "MrFreemanBBQ" has provided information pertaining to Steam sales as the Reddit user also revealed the start date of last year's fall sale before Valve got around to doing so.

On top of that, "MrFreemanBBQ" is the very same tipster who also leaked last year's Steam Summer Sale start date ahead of schedule, as well as the dates of earlier sales that took place in 2013 and 2012, Polygon noted.

Still, the newly leaked dates remain unconfirmed up to this point, so gamers will want to stay tuned to any announcements from Valve to find out if the new information will yet again prove to be accurate.

It's also worth noting that Valve has yet to even announce that an actual sale will be taking place this summer, though players still expect it to happen, especially since it has grown to become a yearly staple that many people eagerly anticipate.

Hopefully, players will be getting more official information about this year's Steam Summer Sale very soon, so that they can start saving up to buy all those games that they have been longing for throughout the past few months.
