The premiere of "Steven Universe" season 3 has been pushed two weeks earlier. Instead of June, Steven and the Crystal Gems guardians will be back on the small screen on May 12.

A lot of details about the season have recently been shared, and fans can't wait to see how the story comes together when episodes start to air. Aside from the lovable characters, viewers have come to love the music in the show.

Series creator Rebecca Sugar has shared that a lot of the episodes were written to suit a list of songs. She said they would usually list down the songs they want to include in the episode, then the writers would share their input on how it would play out on the story board.

Because of how musically inclined the series is, it has been known that one of the upcoming episodes will be entirely musical with seven songs to be featured. There will be a lot of dancing involved as well and a character will surprise the viewers with a tap dance.

Another moment fans look forward to is the appearance of Steven's father, Greg. He will appear in one of the episodes to play the guitar as Steven and the Crystal Gems sing along. The story will also include Steven's mother as he is set to inherit her rose quartz power as the season progresses.

The evil fusion gem Malachite is also set to return with a vengeance on season 3. The imprisoned gem will escape and his fury-filled vengeance is one of the obstacles Steven and the gang will be facing. However, another evil gem is said to be the main villain. Yellow Diamond is set to appear and face the gang herself after sending some probes who get defeated.
