' Steven Universe' Season 4 air date, spoilers, news and updates: Creator debunks cancellation rumors with teasers

(Facebook/Steven Universe)Steven Universe season 4 may just resume in time for American Thanksgiving Day.

With the sudden hiatus surrounding the hit Cartoon Network series "Steven Universe," many fans are left worried about the future of the show.

It was reported that "Steven Universe" had taken a break while on its fourth season, causing confusion about what lies ahead for the animated series. Because of this, there have been a lot of rumors hinting that the show might be canceled.

However, the creator of the show, Rebecca Sugar, was able to address the rumors. According to a recent report, Sugar gave fans assurance of the show's return by teasing the storylines of the new episodes. It was revealed that the upcoming episodes of the series will focus more on Rose Quartz.

Though she did not give much information about what exactly the show will explore about her story, Sugar explained that the upcoming episode will be titled "Gem Harvest." The new episode is said to be the show's "Thanksgiving" special, which means that fans can expect the return of the show sometime soon.

A teaser video was also revealed, making viewers excited for the upcoming episode. In addition, Sugar teased that the story will continue covering the interesting relationship between Lapis and Jasper.

According to iDigitalTimes, Sugar said of the relationship: "They are bringing out the absolute worst in each other. A lot of times when people describe a toxic, awful relationship it's sort of just like 'it's bad, just stop it,' but people don't necessarily talk about why it's such a hard thing to do. There's always more going on, it's almost never that black and white."

Nevertheless, many are still wondering about why the show went on hiatus. There are rumors that the animated series actually instigated some censorship problems with Cartoon Network due to the mature content they were exploring.

Sugar also hinted at this during the New York Comic Con panel when she said, "There have been fights. I try to be very emphatic about what I wanna do, and why I wanna do it, and I've been very lucky."

Despite this, fans will soon see the return of the show.
