'Super Smash Bros. 4' news and update: new Mewtwo Amiibo set revealed by Nintendo

During the last Gamescom 2015, Nintendo, the company that brought fans the iconic game "Super Mario Bros." and "Legends of Zelda," finally announced and revealed the Amiibo figurine set for their game "Super Smash Bros 4," or as what the company calls it "Super Smash Bros for 3DS."

In the report by Eurogamer last weekend, it was mentioned that Nintendo has officially revealed the release date for the new set of Amiibo figurines and will start its roll out later this year.

According to Eurogamer, the company confirmed that the Amiibo for Mewtwo, a DLC character from the game, will be officially released this coming Oct. 23, 2015. This was revealed by Nintendo UK during Gamescom 2015 and on their official Twitter post.

"Just revealed at #gamescom: the Mewtwo amiibo will launch on 23/10!" the company wrote on their tweet.

However, that is not the only news the company revealed during the event. Eurogamer has also stated that aside from the Mewtwo Amiibo, the Ryu downloadable content and Lucas DLC are coming and already on the way. Unfortunately, Nintendo did not mention any release date or even an estimate on when these two upcoming DLCs will arrive.

Additionally, Nintendo also revealed on their website that they will release other character Amiibos this coming September. The first one to be released is the "Super Mario Bros." 30th anniversary series Amiibo on Sept. 11, 2015, as well as the modern color one.

Next on their lineup is the Bowser Jr. Amiibo, which is going to be released on the same month, although no specific date has been announced.The last one is the Animal Crossing Cards – Series 1, which will be released around the holidays.

Fans can now pre-order the Amiibos at GameStop. However, only only purchase is allowed for each customer, as reported on IB Times.
