CBS' hit superhero drama TV series "Supergirl" season 1 returns this week with a brand-new episode that is expected to see the show's very own hero, Kara Zor-El, becoming the baddie.

A promo clip for the upcoming episode, titled "Falling," shows the different side of the Kryptonian lady, which is quite villainous to say the least. In the video, she can be seen toppling a man down to the ground. Her adoptive Earthling sister, Alex, can also be heard saying, "She's been acting strange." Supergirl then appears, smashing walls.

As Kara Danvers, her fashion sense suddenly changed, much to the surprise of everyone including Winn. Trouble further escalates in National City as police officers began shooting at the heroine who seems to be amused with their petty attempts to hurt her. At one point in the video, the bad Supergirl picks up the hapless Cat Grant and throws her out of the building. She gazes upon the woman as she falls downward as if it's nothing.

The details from The Futon Critic for the episode reveal the reasons that have caused Kara to become the Bad Girl. As it turns out she has been exposed to the "Red Kryptonite" that makes her malicious and dangerous even to her friends.

According to the DC Comics database, this variety of Kryptonite would typically last for a day or two. After getting affected, the Kryptonian would typically become immune to that specific chunk of Red Kryptonite. However, viewers should expect some huge-scale trouble to occur in the city. The question is: Who can manage Supergirl while she's still under the influence of the matter?

In another development, Cat is about to appear on The Talk to discuss about Supergirl. Could this be about the heroine's current evil spree? Or will she talk about the good deeds she's done for the city?

Find out how these events unfold when "Supergirl" season 1 episode 16 "Falling" premieres this Monday, Mar. 14, at 8 p.m. on CBS.
