Although the Surface Book came with some issues, there is no denying that its successor, the Surface Book 2, is still one of the most-anticipated devices for 2017. After all, the Surface Book 2 is said to come with awesome features that will definitely surpass the overall performance of its would-be predecessor.

According to the latest reports, fans can expect that Microsoft will release the Surface Book 2 later this year, along with the other upcoming Surface products, such as the Surface Pro 5. While fans cannot expect the Surface Book 2 to be launched at upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017 happening in Barcelona, Spain later this month, it is said to be worth the wait as the laptop-tablet hybrid will come with impressive specs and features.

One of the most-anticipated improvements that gadget fans can expect once the Surface Book 2 arrives is that it will be relatively faster than the current version of the device as it is alleged to pack the latest Intel processor, the Kaby Lake, which will not only enhance the overall performance of the device but lengthen its battery life, too.

It is also suspected to boast of an integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 GPU and 4K screen resolution, which syncs with the Kaby Lake processor's architecture.

As the first Surface Book was criticized for its fulcrum hinge, it is also expected that the upcoming Surface Book 2 will deliver improvements in this aspect. After all, because of the said hinge, it is impossible for the device to fully fold, leaving it susceptible to elements.

Meanwhile, the Brexit has taken a toll on the pricing of the Surface Book in the U.K. After the device was offered at a discounted price last month, the Surface Book now carries a price tag with an 11.5 percent increase.

"In response to a recent review we are adjusting the British pound prices of some of our hardware and consumer software in order to align to market dynamics," explained a Microsoft representative to Tech Crunch.
