Rumors and speculations that the Surface Pro 5 will arrive in 2017 are getting louder and louder as it is highly possible for the device to be announced next month.

According to reports, it is likely that Microsoft will unveil the Surface Pro 5 next month as, after all, its predecessor, the Surface Pro 4, was announced in the same month. Despite the announcement, though, the device is not expected to arrive in the market earlier than 2017.

It has been heavily speculated that Microsoft's upcoming devices, such as the Surface Book 2, Surface Pro 5, and the Surface Phone, will pack the Intel Kaby Lake processor, which is said to have just been shipped out. Because of this, it is believed that all the Surface devices will be available next year.

In fact, it was also rumored earlier that Microsoft is purposely delaying the arrival of its Windows 10 update, otherwise known as the Redstone 2, as, reportedly, it wants the upcoming Surface devices to be the first to demonstrate it.

However, it is also speculated that, at least, one Surface device may be released this year. This assumption stemmed from various photos taken at the Microsoft's building 88 that surfaced online, wherein placeholders for Surface devices are seen labeled as "2016," "2017," and "Coming Soon."

Tech pundits now believe that the device slated for a 2016 release is the Surface Book 2, believing that Microsoft must have been quietly working on the device, while most people talk about the Surface Pro 5. In the event that the Surface Book 2 is really getting released before 2016 ends, it is said that it will be one great move for Microsoft as the revamped version of the 2016 MacBook Pro is also expected to arrive within the same period.

Will Microsoft really announce the Surface Pro 5 next month? Is the Surface Book 2 really getting released within the year?

Apparently, everything is a guessing game at this point in time.
