'Teen Wolf' season 5 spoilers, air date: Major character leaves show, true identity of Parish revealed, search for desert wolf continues

MTV's "Teen Wolf" provided more questions than answers when the wolf-centered drama wrapped up its season four in September 2014. With changes to existing characters and new characters being introduced on the show, fans are excited to see what will happen next to Scott McCall's (Tyler Posey) gang of supernatural beings.

Realty Today reports that Malia and Braeden may search for the elusive and mysterious Desert Wolf together. Avid watchers of the show may remember that her biological father, Peter Hale, revealed that the Desert Wolf is her biological mother. This can be an interesting storyline as viewers can't wait to see the character of the Desert Wolf.

Another character that will be in the limelight is Derek Hale (Tyler Hoechlin). During the end of season four, viewers saw Derek's transformation into a wolf. Executive producer Jeff Davis said his transformation and newfound power will also be part of the new season's plot. However, Davis teased that Derek "may never be an alpha again". He teased fans in an interview in Entertainment Weekly back in September 2014 that "He's reached a level of power that he can manipulate his body so he has that control now."

According to Venture Capital Post, Lydia and Deputy Parish will work together to find out what he really is. Last season he was seen in a car engulfed in flames but still managed to come out unscathed. Ryan Kelly, who plays Parish, speculated that his character may be a phoenix. The frightening Doctor Valack is said to make a comeback in season five and work alongside Peter Hale. Liam will also be entangled in a romantic relationship and his friendship with best friend Mason will be strengthened.

Holland Roden, who portrays the character of banshee Lydia, revealed that a major character will not be present while two past characters will make a comeback in season five. Looks like there's a lot to look forward to when the show airs in June 2015.
