The wait for MTV's "Teen Wolf" is just about to get over as season five's premiere date draws closer. Simultaneously, more details of the upcoming season of the supernatural series are now available. It looks like a difficult year ahead for Scott's pack as they enter their senior year and continue to save lives.

Several spoilers indicate that the new season will revolve around the search for the Desert Wolf, Malia's biological mother. Latin Times reports that a newcomer may be a love interest for new werewolf, Liam. Victoria Morales enters Beacon Hills and is in the same grade as Liam and his best friend Mason. Although actor Dylan Sprayberry did not confirm or deny a new romance for his character, he did say that Morales shares some chemistry with him.

Moreover, fans will learn more about Deputy Parish's supernatural side, as Chris Argent still hunts for his sister Kate, a were-jaguar, with the assistance of Calavera. The teaser for "Teen Wolf" shows the doctors as the new villains of the season, but fans should know that Dr. Valack, who was briefly seen at the end of season four, is also a new antagonist.

Additionally, the fantasy series will be adding another supernatural creature to its repository called Slaugh, which eats the souls of innocent human beings. The fan-designed creature also places parts of its rotten soul into the bodies of its sleeping victims. The Irish and Scottish being will be played by 16-year old Michael Lynch.

Apart from Liam, it looks like Mason will also be getting a new love interest in this season. Design & Trend reports that newcomer Michael Johnston will appear as Mason's lover. Johnston will be the second gay character after a shy young man named Lucas had been cast in a guest role in episode four.

"Teen Wolf" premieres on June 29 with a two-part special episode.
