There has been a lot of buzz surrounding "Teen Wolf" season 6 following star Dylan O'Brien's accident while filming "Maze Runner: The Death Cure." The most recent rumor has to do with his apparent exit from the MTV series and being replaced with One Direction member Harry Styles.

Showrunner Jeff Davis supposedly gave an interview to Creative 132 where he confirmed that the show is interested in casting Styles for a part and are "in talks with people, directors, agents." Additionally, he reportedly denied O'Brien's exit from the show and revealed that the actor will be filming again soon. The interview, of course, rapidly spread online.

However, Digital Spy contacted MTV regarding the issue and has learned that there is no truth to the rumor involving the One Direction singer. It would seem that the interview was false and that "Teen Wolf" isn't looking to cast Styles for the sixth season.

Styles has been involved in a few casting rumors, including a potential part in "Scream Queens" season 2. However, it looks like the British pop star won't be joining the cast of the hit FOX horror comedy series, at least according to the show's official Twitter account.

With his British-Irish band currently on a hiatus, it comes as no surprise that the heartthrob is continuously getting involved in acting rumors.

Among these, however, there is one that turned out to be true. According to Deadline, Styles has been cast in an action adventure war flick titled "Dunkirk," which will see the singer working with director Christopher Nolan. The publication notes that his role is not that of a leading one, but details about the film are being kept under tight wraps.

The 2017 film has reportedly begun production in Dunkirk, France and Styles has been spotted on set. Filming will take place in France, Holland, the U.K. and Los Angeles.

"Teen Wolf" season 6 has not been given an official release date as of writing.
