Ever since "Tekken 7" released last year for arcades, there has been a lot of news and rumors dedicated to when the game will arrive for consoles. Earlier this month, when the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016 was in full swing, more information about the game was provided by developer Bandai Namco, which indicated it would release next year.

More importantly, the information about "Tekken 7" arrived on June 13, a day before E3 2016 was due to start. It arrived via official channels during an event held by Microsoft. The company also stated that it would be arriving for PCs via the Steam platform.

Bandai Namco then went on to provide more information about it and stated that it would arrive with a new story mode. GameSpot even points out that a new trailer for "Tekken 7" was shown during E3 2016 and it focused on a fight between the character Akuma, who is from the "Street Fighter" franchise, and Heihachi Mishima who is part of the Tekken group.

The trailer for the "Tekken 7" game was well-received when it aired during E3 2016 and it left gamers with a good feeling about the upcoming offering. Many also quickly pointed out that the trailer blended fighting from within the game and also featured cinematic-style action in a seamless manner and this quickly drew the attention of fans. There were also indications in the trailer that Akuma has ties with Kazumi Mishima and they will be explored in the upcoming game.

As for the release date of "Tekken 7," it was revealed to be happening during 2017 but developer Bandai Namco did not provide any specific date. This is a clear indication that only a release window is available for the game right now and it is expected to arrive in the early part of next year. However, some positive news was also delivered to gamers as the game is set to arrive on the Xbox One and PS4 consoles, in addition to the PC. Engadget also states that it will feature a gentle learning curve compared to previous games in the franchise.
