The highly anticipated return of "The Bachelorette" finally happened, with the premiere episode of season 12 introducing viewers to JoJo Fletcher's 26 suitors. The next episode promises to be more interesting, with two group dates and a one-on-one date on the docket. Plus, it seems there's a new villain in town.

The first episode of "The Bachelorette" season 12 basically set the stage for the upcoming season, with JoJo finally meeting the 26 men who will try to win her heart. While it might seem like an endless parade of men, some early standouts were ex-pro football plater Jordan, country singer James Taylor, and Alex the US Marine. There were also those who put more effort in their introductions, like Nick B, who arrived decked out as Santa Claus, the kilt-wearing Jonathan, and of course, Luke, who arrived riding a unicorn.

The good stuff will finally get underway in episode 2, as the Bachelorette goes on two group dates and a one-on-one date. According to Reality Steve, the episode will find 10 guys taking a crash course in firefighting. Grant, Robby, and Wells will reportedly get the top 3 spots, with Grant, whose day job is actually being a firefighter, eventually winning the competition. Despite that win, the group date rose will go to Wells.

The next group date finds six bachelors and JoJo heading to ESPN's SportsNation where they are introduced to hosts Max Kellerman and Marcellus Wiley. The guys then compete in three events — a football drill where they have to get flowers to JoJo, while being battered by the other contestants, a dizzy baseball bat game where they have to come up with a unique proposal and a press conference hosted by Wiley. James Taylor will reportedly bag the rose for this group date.

As for the one-on-one date, JoJo picks Derek Peth and has a romantic picnic with him in San Francisco. At the end of the episode, JoJo sends home three guys — Brandon Howell, James Spandafore, and Will Haduch — bringing the number of remaining bachelors down to 17.

The show is just on its second episode, but it appears that this season's villain has already made himself known — Chad. The luxury real estate agent has allegedly been insulting the other bachelors left and right. And as the trailer for the upcoming episode shows, the man does appear to have quite the temper, surprising the other contestants and JoJo.

The next episode of "The Bachelorette" season 12 will be aired on ABC on May 30.
