'The Banner Saga 2' release date July; special items included for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One users

(The Banner Saga 2)"The Banner Saga 2" will be released this July 5 on the PlayStation 4, while Xbox One users will have it on July 1 on its Xbox Live Gold program.

Since its release on the PC platform last April, "The Banner Saga 2" has been getting a lot of positive reviews, and, due to this success, PlayStation 4 users will be enjoying the same experience come next month.

Austin-based Stoic Studio, together with the game's publisher Versus Evil, has put on some extra effort in having the said game be released ahead of time. The initial release date for the said title was supposed to be July 26, but, with the mentioned joint efforts of the two companies, PlayStation 4 users will get to play it on July 5, while Xbox One gamers will be enjoying it first on July 1, provided that players are subscribed to the Xbox Live Gold program.

The developer pointed out that they wanted to give players something to enjoy now that summer is just around the corner. Stoic Studio also commended the game design company Shiny Shoe and Sony that made "The Banner Saga 2" land on the PlayStation 4 console earlier than expected.

The title's early release was just one of the good parts. PlayStation 4 users who will be getting the game will instantly get a special item named the Playful Hilt of Arnr, which is a simple handle of a sword with an ability to provide the wielder some sort of physical ease during prolonged combat. Xbox One gamers will also get the so-called Tome of X, which is a scholarly looking book that contains games, leisure activities, and the likes. However, these items will be put to use once the player has reached the required level.

Moreover, gamers can still play "The Banner Saga 2" without playing the game's first installment, but reports suggest that in order to have a complete "The Banner Saga" experience, players might still want to try the first game since it was said that it's as challenging as the title's second offering.
