After seasons of references to Howard Wolowitz's (Simon Helberg) estranged father, "The Big Bang Theory" finally has plans to introduce the man. This, however, will not be happening within season 10.

In an interview with TV Line, showrunner Steve Molaro teased that they plan on introducing Mr. Wolowitz to the show. Molaro admitted that the plan "is always floating around in the ether of the show." He then added, "We don't have immediate plans to tackle it, but I'm confident one day we will."

Since there are not any immediate plans for Mr. Wolowitz's introduction, perhaps the production team has not even found an actor for the character. Molaro did not say who they want for the role.

It is to be noted that a number of the lead characters' family members have only been introduced lately. In the eighth season, viewers saw Howard's younger half-brother Josh Wolowitz (Matt Bennett), an oceanorgraphy student. This season, the show also introduced Leonard Hofstadter's (Johnny Galecki) father Alfred (Judd Hirsch), and the rest of Penny's (Kaley Cuoco) family. Viewers have only seen Penny's father Wyatt (Keith Carradine) up until season 10. But now viewers know Penny's mother Susan (Katey Sagal) and her brother Randall (Jack McBrayer).

Prior to Molaro's admission, reports previously claimed that Howard's father will be introduced in season 10. He was rumored to appear in an episode where Howard will be struggling with being a new dad to his newborn daughter Hallie. With Molaro's latest reveal, this fan theory has been debunked.

In an upcoming episode of "The Big Bang Theory" season 10, Raj Koothrappali's (Kunal Nayyar) ex-girlfriends, Emily (Laura Spencer), Claire (Alessandra Torresani), Lucy (Kate Micucci), and Emily (Katie Leclerc), will be back to discuss what went wrong in their respective relationships with Raj.

"The Big Bang Theory" season 10 episode 14, titled "The Emotion Detection Automation," is expected to air sometime in the first week of February.
