Liz's (Megan Boone) choice on who to trust between Kirk (Ulrich Thomsen) and Red (James Spader) will directly affect her daughter's fate in the upcoming episode of "The Blacklist."

In the episode titled "The Thrushes," the synopsis (as per CarterMatt) reveals that Red and Liz will see a golden opportunity to trap Kirk when the latter is busy negotiating a business deal. Kirk is attempting to get a shadowy group that is said to be the best in hacking the world's most secure computer systems. This will be the time Red will launch a covert attack against the other man's organization. He wants to quickly take down Kirk after the fiasco that happened last episode.

Red's plan to use Kirk's hematologist backfired when it became apparent that Kirk was one step ahead of him. It seemed to be the perfect operation for Red and the FBI, but things didn't go as planned. Kirk's doctor was supposed to meet him in Switzerland, but the car containing Liz's father was a decoy. The moment the vehicle arrived at the rendezvous place, it blew up. If not for Liz's quick call to Red, he would have died. It was humiliating for Red to know that Kirk had been toying with him from the start.

The promo for the next episode shows the moment Liz reveals who she trusts more between the two men. Red tells her he has not lied to her in any way, even though she has proof that he did. He continues to convince Liz that the DNA papers do not matter. Kirk obviously wants Agnes for personal reasons. He is suffering from a rare blood disorder and the baby can help him get better. In the clip, Red is close to capturing Kirk, but the latter has Agnes in his arms. It looks like Kirk is ready to end his life, but if he has to die, so will Agnes.
