The PC closed beta of the massive multiplayer racing game The Crew is coming this July 21.

The official announcement posted on their website reads:

"Our PC Closed BETA will offer you a massive persistent world loaded with exciting driving challenges, iconic places, amazing cars - and best of all, a world filled with friends to crew up with or rivals to compete against! The Beta will start on Monday 21st of July until Friday 25th, prepare your driving skill, the roads will be yours!"

To get started, players need to download Uplay first.

Once in Uplay, click on "Games", key in the activation code on the "Activate Product" button and then click on "Go To My Games" and hit "The Crew" icon to trigger download.

Since this is a closed beta for PC, a player must sign up in order to receive an activation key.

The beta program will feature 2 main regions (Midwest and East Coast), 5 cities, 30 missions, 66 landmarks, 200 skill challenges and 6200 miles of road.

One of the great things about this beta is that you can play with your friends and challenge them anytime.

The Crew team also provided some useful tips on how to successfully drive around the closed beta for PC.

They particularly pointed out that The Street Spec can be obtained in Detroit, while The Dirt Spec is found in the Big Apple.

The cinematic gameplay trailer of The Crew was first previewed in Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2014.

There are estimated 10 car brands that will be featured in the game including Mini Cooper, Shelby, BMW, Brentley, Lamborghini, Dodge, RUF, Chevrolet, Ford and Nissan.

The final consumer release of The Crew is slated on November 11 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
