'The Elder Scrolls 6' release date: At least two big titles coming from Bethesda Game Studios prior to sequel's unveiling

(Bethesda)'Elder Scrolls 6' currently not in development

For a game that is not expected to come out for a long time, "The Elder Scrolls 6" has still remained in the thoughts of many fans, and thanks to that, more details about how far off the sequel actually is from being released have been coming out lately.

The latest update related to the game came courtesy of a sit-down interview between Bethesda vice president for PR and marketing Pete Hines and GameStar, which took place at Gamescom.

At around the 10:40 mark of the video, a question about the eagerly anticipated sequel is finally brought up and Hines gives a little perspective on the game's current place within Bethesda's timeline.

First off, Hines revealed that the game will not be officially revealed either at next year's Gamescom or even the one that will come after that.

Hines then mentioned that there will be "at least two big games from Bethesda Game Studios before we get around to Elder Scrolls 6."

Gamingbolt picked up on a potentially important detail noted by Hines that may also be related to the timeline of "The Elder Scrolls 6."

As the website noted, Hines mentioning Bethesda Games Studios specifically probably means that the titles published by Bethesda but are developed first by other studios are likely not the ones Hines was referring to when he talked about games that will be coming out ahead of the sequel.

All of that likely means players won't be seeing a new "Elder Scrolls" game for a while, which is not a new revelation anyway.

Not too long ago, Hines also offered a quick update about the sequel while replying to a tweet from PCGamesN. In that tweet, Hines shared that the sequel is not in development currently, which is a pretty clear indicator that it will not be showing up anytime soon.

For now, the only thing seemingly assured about "The Elder Scrolls 6's" release is that fans will still have to wait a long time for it.
