'The Elder Scrolls 6' release rumors: New location is Argonia? title could be a Nintendo NX game

(Facebook/ElderScrolls)'The Elder Scrolls' has been confirmed but development isn't happening anytime soon.

"The Elder Scrolls 6" has been confirmed to be one of the future game titles from Bethesda, but fans have to wait many years for this to come out. Bethesda recently made it clear that they will work on two game titles first, before they set their focus on a new "The Elder Scrolls" game.

Even before the 2016 Electronic Entertainment Expo, rumors about the sixth installment to the series have been rampant. It appears that the hype for the game hasn't died down despite the confirmation from Bethesda that it's not happening soon.

Rumors about the location for the next game have been circulating for years. Some people have even referenced the next "The Elder Scrolls" game as "The Elder Scrolls: Argonia" believing that Argonia is the next location to be featured, Digital Spy reports. The publication noted that this piece of rumor came from an unreliable source so there's no weight to it. It seems that calling the game "Argonia" just sounds appropriate. However, there's still that possibility that the next game could be called "Skyrim 2" and Digital Spy speculates that the story from "Skyrim" will continue in the sixth installment.

Since plans for "The Elder Scrolls" won't happen anytime soon, the rumors and theories continue to make the rounds. According to Gaming Bolt, the next installment is already expected to come to the new consoles, Xbox Scorpio and PlayStation Neo, considering that they will dominate the market in the coming years. What remains to be seen is if the game will also be playable on Nintendo NX.

If Bethesda indeed plans to develop a new "The Elder Scrolls" game for Nintendo NX, it will be reaching a much wider audience. The NX appears to be a revolutionary console that will carry impressive specs and if the device is powerful enough, "The Elder Scrolls 6" might just work with it.
