'The Flash' episode 17 spoilers: Mark Hamill returns in 'Tricksters'

"The Flash" has seen many super-villains this season, with Captain Cold, Heat Wave, Weather Wizard and many more. Seasoned audiences can now add another antagonist to the roster of villains: The Trickster.

The official synopsis by KDrama Stars reveals that a copy-cat killer, known by the name of The Trickster starts setting off bombs in Central City. In order to stop the copy-cat killer from wreaking havoc, Barry and Joe meet the original Trickster, James Jesse, who is locked away in a cell for over two decades. They ask him for clues to get to the copy-cat one. However, things escalate from bad to worse when both Tricksters unite (the original and copycat one) and take Henry Allen as a prisoner.

Actor Mark Hamill from "Star Wars" fame (he played Luke Skywalker) will be playing the villain's role. Interestingly, Hamill played the role of The Trickster in the original "Flash" TV series that was aired in the 1990s, reports Christian Today. Additionally, John Wesley Shipp, who plays Henry's role, also played the role of The Flash in the 1990s original series, making it a sort of reunion for elder viewers and fans of the original series.

The synopsis also reveals that Iris will encounter some difficulties with a case and ask for Eddie's help. Flashbacks will also be seen in the upcoming episode that explain how Wells came up with the idea of the particle accelerator.

Meanwhile, TVLine reports that villain Deadbolt will appear in both "The Flash" and "Arrow". Actor Doug Jones will essay the role of Deadbolt in an April episode of "Arrow" and again make an appearance in the penultimate episode of "The Flash" which is slated to air in May. The actor confirmed his casting with a tweet.

The title of the finale episode of "The Flash" also hints at something to do with the Rogues. It is titled "Rouge Air". Showrunner Andrew Kreisberg shared to the website that "We're going to do something with all the Rogues. I can't promise it's going to be this season. We know that if the original (1990s) Flash series had gotten a second season, both John (Wesley Shipp) and Mark (Hamill) have told us that the first episode was going to be a giant Rogues episode. And that sounds like maybe a good thing for us to do, what they didn't get the opportunity to do."

Episode 17 airs on Tuesday, March 31 at 8 p.m. on CW.
