Professor Zoom has been teased over the past few months for "The Flash" season two. And while he is confirmed as the new season's big bad, it seems that people won't be seeing how he actually looks any time soon...but they will surely be hearing his voice.

"The Flash" has just cast Tony Todd to voice Professor Zoom for season two, which means viewers still won't be seeing his face. The idea is to keep Zoom more of a mystery than the Reverse Flash was.

Speaking to Variety about Zoom, executive producer, Andrew Kreisberg, compared him to "Star War's" iconic villain, Darth Vader. Of Todd's casting, he remarked, "Part of the mystery of the season is who or what is underneath the Zoom outfit, and so we wanted to do something like James Earl Jones as Darth Vader — this iconic voice coming out of this mask. Last year, we thought of the Reverse-Flash as a speed warrior; this year, Zoom is like a speed demon, and no one does demon-voice better than Tony Todd."

Even with Todd not getting any screen time, Zoom will definitely be on-cam, albeit in a costume. And Kreisberg said Zoom will don a costume that's much like Marvel's villain, Venom. It's organic, it moves and feels like it has a life of its own, he described.

The executive producer also let fans in on what drives Zoom. He does not want to conquer the world, but instead has a personal and primal goal which fans will have to discover in the new season.

But won't comic readers already be spoiled as to what Zoom is doing in The Flash's life? Kreisberg doesn't think so. He talked about how he and the rest of the production team have been doing the best they can to keep the show balanced for fans and non-fans of the speedster's comics.

"[The] story of Zoom and who and what he is... hopefully comic book fans will be happy because we've come up with a clever way to spin the tale, but that also makes it exciting for the people who aren't as familiar with the comics and are just enjoying the show on its own terms," he explained.

"The Flash" season two premieres on Oct. 6.
