The upcoming episodes of "The Flash" season 3 will be more action-packed as the team travels to Earth-2 to face a recurring enemy — Grodd (voiced by David Sobolov), the super powered gorilla.

The telepathic ape was last seen on the show when he was thrown into the Gorilla City on Earth-2. Barry (Grant Gustin) thought it was the best decision at the time, but it looks like Grodd has found a new nemesis in the form of Solovar (voiced by Keith David), the king of Gorilla City. This means the team will not be fighting just one ape.

"We saw, at one point in season 2, a little tease of Gorilla City. A lot of people probably didn't even see it, but off far in the distance, you see hundreds of gorillas marching in Gorilla City, so we're going to see a little bit of that." Gustin said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. Pertaining to the upcoming episode, he added, "There are lots and lots and lots of gorillas, more than we've ever seen before."

In the show's most recent episode, Jesse Quick (Violett Beane) from Earth-2 pays a visit to Earth-1 to seek help from the team in rescuing her father, Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh), who has been abducted by Grodd. In an insider video uploaded by The CW on YouTube, Wells is spotted in Gorilla City, running for his life.

According to the synopsis released by The CW, the reason for Harry's abduction is a cry for help from Grodd. He wants the team to help him defeat Solovar, who plans to invade Earth-1.

The adventure will be divided into two parts, which will be filled with numerous exciting events. In the process of rescuing Earth-2 Wells, the team composed of Barry, Cisco (Carlos Valdes), Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker), and Julian (Tom Felton) will end up getting imprisoned by the gorilla as well. The West family, however, will not make it to the trip.

Catch "Attack on Gorilla City," the first of the two-episode event, on Tuesday, Feb. 21, at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
