'The Good Wife' season 6 spoilers: Alicia may be exposed to the press; Ed Asner back as Redmayne

Alicia Florrick is back on the small screen after a hiatus that put her on hold because of The Superbowl and other award ceremonies. With her on-going campaign as State Attorney, coupled with actress Archie Panjabi's exit, fans can expect a truckload of drama and unexpected twists coming their way.

CaterMatt reports that actor Ed Asner will be playing the role of Guy Redmayne, a wealthy potential donor for Alicia's campaign. He could be crucial to her campaign. Typically, donors are known for their deep pockets and their role ends as soon as they hand in the money. However, that's not what executive producers Robert and Michelle King have in mind for Asner. The actor will reprise his role as Redmayne in at least one other episode. In an extensive interview with TVLine, the Kings explained how the upcoming episode titled "Dark Money" would explore the lengths that candidates go to in order to extract money from donors. Redmayne is old school and Florrick will have to do a lot in order to get this money. Robert King said, "There is this thing called dark money, which is the name of the episode, where money is given in secret to a candidate's PAC, and candidates go through a lot to get it."

While the Kings gave little away regarding actress Archie Panjabi's imminent exit, Michelle King did point out that they are hoping Kalinda's exit will "seem inevitable yet surprising." The Kings also didn't rule out romantic bliss for Alicia and Peter with other people as fans know Peter ended it with Ramon and Alicia has been intimate with Finn and Johnny.

Another interesting spoiler, reported by TVGuide, is that Colin Sweeney (Dylan Baker) will be back and although he is Alicia's biggest admirer, he won't be friendly to her this season. Sweeney will be unhappy with Cary and Diane's work on his defamation case. He goes to Alicia for help and she refuses. Sadly, Sweeney is angry and threatens to blotch her campaign by going to the press with a controversial piece of information. Will this destroy Alicia's campaign?

"The Good Wife" returns on Sunday, March 1 at 9 p.m.
