'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 2' news: Director Francis Lawrence shares some details about action scenes

A new poster for "The Hunger Games: Mocking Jay, Part 2" was recently unveiled by Lionsgate. The poster features Katniss wearing a red suit and standing above the ruins of President Snow's statue. Sources say the poster signifies the war reaching the Capitol and that all the leaders of the revolution are ready to begin the battle for freedom.

"When Snow falls, the Mockingjay will rise," read the poster's caption.

The release of the poster has fuelled the anticipation for the second part of the last film in the widely successful franchise and fortunately for fans, the director of the movie himself have gushed about how action-packed "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 2" is.

"The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 2" is the last installment of the film adaptation of Suzanne Collins' "Hunger Games" trilogy. In the book, Katniss is set to accomplish her final mission of bringing down the true villain in Panem — President Snow. Fighting alongside the girl on fire is Gale (Liam Hemsworth) and Peeta (Josh Hutcherson). It is expected that the movie would remain faithful to the events in the novel.

According to several reports, because the movie will see the characters in the thick of battle, fans should ready themselves for an action-packed flick. Francis Lawrence, the film's director, teased fans about the action scenes and explained how much time and effort went into staging the war scenes.

"We had to focus a lot on how to accomplish that, especially when we spend most of our time out on the street," he stated.

The last "The Hunger Games" movie is expected to exceed the total earnings of all previous installments, with some insiders predicting the movie to gross at $3 billion.

"The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 2" is set to hit the big screen on Nov. 20, 2015.
