Recently, Nintendo revealed "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" as an upcoming big game coming in Wii U and the company's new device, the Nintendo NX. Releasing sometime in 2017, the game is said to be far different than the other previous Zelda games.

As reported by Kotaku, the game will feature Link in a vast environment which allows him to explore the world freely. "Breath of the Wild" is intended to bring the same level of openness found in the first game of the fracnhise.

"For really the first time in a 3D Zelda game, you kind of get the feeling you had the very first time you played the original NES Zelda game," Nintendo of America Senior Product Marketing Manager Bill Trinen told the media on Sunday.

The game will also allow players to jump with a simple button push. Previous games will have Link jump off automatically once he finds himself on an edge. Link will be more adventurous as the character can also climb walls but his ability will be limited by the stamina bar. Based on the demo played, the stamina bar depletes rather quickly if Link climbs on steeper grades. The stamina level can be improved if Link will get upgrades.

Puzzles will still be very much part of the game, and according to reports, there will be more than 100 "Shrines of Trials" in the game world. Link can visit the shrines in no particular order to solve puzzles and receive rewards.

Link's health is still determined by the number of hearts, which can be replenished by eating different kinds of food. Different recipes can also help impact the stamina bar.

"The Legend of Zelda: Breath of Wild" offers a great world for players to explore. It's up to players to find the best equipment and gear for Link to allow the character to survive.

A specific release date for "Breath of the Wild" for Wii U and NX has not been announced. Game franchise head Eiji Aonuma already confirmed that the experience will be the same for both gaming platforms.
