Fans of the vampire-wolf series, The Originals are in for an exciting and more action-packed second season. Joseph Morgan returns to play Klaus as the original vampire and werewolf hybrid, as he fights with his brother, Elijah portrayed by Daniel Gillies, in their quest to save their sister Rebekah played by Claire Holt.

Last season's mid-season finale came out with a twist in the plot when the characters of Finn and Kol experienced a "body swap." The incident also affected Rebekah, Klaus and Elijah's sister, which introduced actress Maisie Richardson-Sellers as the "new" Rebekah. International Business Times reported that the second season would continue with Rebekah as a mortal. Executive Producer Michael Narducci noted Rebekah's "body swap" as one of the major plotlines in the upcoming season as the series continued to explore her character. Narducci teased, "Would Rebekah have had any inclination towards magic? Would she be desperate to return to her original body because she knows it would be the best possible means for defending her family and defending Baby Hope?"

Meanwhile, in a report by Enstarz.com, Yusuf Gatewood's character Finn, cautioned the vampires and wolves of the imminent result of their species' clash. He said, "The only thing that can exist between your two species is death." The wolves' alpha, Jackson played by Nathan Parsons, will finally get to show his prowess as he goes head to head with the ultimate hybrid, Klaus. According to TVline.com, a newly-made hybrid Hayley will see Klaus as her "partner in crime," considering both are now hybrids and share a child. The relationship between them will be a factor in helping them save Baby Hope from those who want to capture her. On the other hand, it will also cause tension between her and Elijah, whom everyone saw fall in love with her in the first season. The Originals second season will premiere on the CW Network on January 19, 2015.
