'The Sims 4' news and updates: 'Dine Out' game pack said to be released on May 26; new expansion gives Sims a chance to create and manage restaurants

(Facebook/TheSims)The Sims 4: Dine Out will reportedly be released in May.

Gamers hoping that "The Sims 4" will soon be headed to their consoles would have to wait a little longer for that. But for those playing the game on their PCs, a new game pack will reportedly be released sometime this month.

Fans of the popular design and build series have been expecting the game to be ported to consoles by the first quarter of 2016. However, it's been said that Maxis and The Sims Studios are currently struggling with technical glitches that are causing a delay in the game being ported to consoles. Now, reports are pegging a release date set for either late 2016 or early 2017.

But it's not all bad news for "The Sims" aficionados. The game bundle that Electronic Arts previously teased appears to be hitting shelves soon. The game developers released a short clip for upcoming "The Sims 4" expansions last month and it started with two sims sitting down to eat. As a new game pack was teased for spring 2016, the scene quickly changed, with tables, diners, and waiters added. A child is then shown playing and a new stuff pack is teased for summer 2016. The new stuff that might arrive seems to consist of new furniture and toys and maybe a new feature where children can interact or play with other children.

While the trailer didn't mention any name for the alleged game pack, a screen shot of a bundle for "The Sims 4" suggests it will be called "The Sims 4: Dine Out." The image, which has already been deleted, allegedly came from a Smyths Toys game bundle that includes "Movie Hangout Stuff," "Romantic Garden Stuff," and the "Dine Out" pack.

The "Dine Out" game pack will allegedly give Sims the opportunity to create and manage different restaurants, hire the right people, and create a menu that would bring in the simoleons. If running a restaurant is not your Sims idea of a career, they can still eat out and go on a date in the existing restaurants.

The alleged "Sims 4" Bundle pack will reportedly be released on May 26. However, no official announcements have been made, so fans should take the news with a grain of salt.
