Mac users, who have been wishing for a The Sims 4 release date on the platform, saw a flicker of hope after Electronic Arts (EA)'s Executive Producer for The Sims 4, Rachel Franklin, confirmed that they are cooking something up for Apple computers.

"We know our players on Mac are looking to hear more. We are working on it. When we have more to share, we'll bring the news to you right here," Franklin said in an Oct. 2 blog post.

The FAQ section of The Sims 4 has triggered a lot of worries for Mac users.

"We are currently focused on the PC version. We have no updates on Mac at this time," a response to one of the Sims 4 questions in the game's official FAQ page.

It has been five years since the last Sims game reached the platform, and with all the good reviews and positive feedback that the fourth installment has received, Mac owners are keeping their fingers crossed that this version will soon be playable in their computers.

The Sims 4 debuted strongly on UK charts, beating other big guns such as Watch Dogs and Metro Redux.

Game producer Grant Rodiek made it crystal clear in one of the game's official forums that there would be no Sims 5 if Sims 4 didn't do well.

Meanwhile, a recent blog revealed a number of strategy, goals, options and story that players are missing out due to the massive content of The Sims 4.

"We build big games with a lot of stuff to do. There's a LOT of content in The Sims 4 that you might not know exists if we didn't point it out. One of the ways we do this is with our Goal systems, including Whims and Aspirations," the blog intro reads.

"Emotional Whims are designed to point you towards content that you can ONLY do while in that Emotion, OR ways to fix your current Emotion. If your Sim is Sad, for example, you might get a Whim to Water your Garden with Tears," the blog explains.

Aside from Whims, the author also gave away workarounds on achieving aspirations, progress and content of the Rewards Store.
