Taking a bite (pun intended) from the famous Soundgarden song, 'Black Hole Sun,' 'Vampire Diaries' season 6 is keeping it trendy with upcoming episode titles. The next episode will feature a happening that fans of the show have been waiting for a long time: a proposal between the two lead characters, Stefan and Elena.

The last episode of the hit CW vampire series showed how Elena asked Alaric to erase all the memory she has of her ex, Damon. This resulted in sculpting her memory into something different, Elena now thinks that Damon is the evil brother of her best friend, Stefan.

As for Damon and Bonnie, the two are still stuck in the '90s, in Mystic Falls, and are close to finally coming home. Bonnie was able to regain her power after meeting up with a mysterious character named Kai.

While Elena and Stefan might be close to spending the rest of their lives together, Damon Salvatore must revisit one of the most painful and difficult days of his life in order for Bonnie and himself to return home. The new episode will give light as to what happened to the older Salvatore brother.

It is unsure if Damon will return to the present in the next episode, but it is certain that Elena will behave differently towards him now that all the good memories of him are gone.

Episode 4 of 'The Vampire Diaries' season 6 will air on Thursday, Oct 23., on the CW Network.
