'The Vampire Diaries' season 8 premiere spoilers: Bonnie dies for Enzo?

(Facebook/thevampirediaries)Bonnie's fate will be revealed in "The Vampire Diaries" season 8.

Bonnie's (Kate Graham) fate may have been sealed for the final season of "The Vampire Diaries" ("TVD"). Not only will she have to die for Elena (Nina Dobrev) to wake up. It appears that she will also do it for boyfriend Enzo's (Michael Malarkey) sake.

Recent updates on Dobrev's alleged return in The CW series are causing fans to freak out. According to Hollywood Life, the actress will definitely come back in the finale of the upcoming installment, if what her IMDb page says will be believed. Eagle-eyed fans have reportedly spotted the changes on Dobrev's details on Aug. 17, when the page states that she is set to appear in episode 16 of "TVD" season 8. The last time Elena was shown, she was put under a spell where she would have to sleep as long as her best friend Bonnie was alive.

Waking up Elena means killing off Bonnie, since the spell is practically unbreakable. If the witch ends up kicking the bucket, she will do the ultimate sacrifice to give her best pal Damon (Ian Somerhalder) the happy ending he so craves. The Salvatore vampire has been a wreck ever since Elena made her farewell. Season 8 will also see him taking the darkest, most dangerous path. While under the control of the ancient creature from the vault, Damon will go on a killing spree. He and Enzo have both lost control of their blood lust and their friends are getting desperate to save them.

In the event that Bonnie will be given a choice to save two of the most important persons to her, she will gladly do it. If she ends up saving Enzo and Elena in one sweep, the witch will leave this world in peace. Elena has been her friend from the start, while Enzo has proven that he is the love of her life. She will not want to see him suffering. Malarkey recently shared in an interview that his character's plight in the upcoming season is no joke.

"How we left off last season was Damon and Enzo going on this killing rampage. We will find out why and what they're driven by and it's something to do with this new supreme evil that has been lurking in the vault, that has escaped the vault. Enzo, however, is kind of grappling with this a bit more, he's fighting it a bit more than Damon and how we start the season is seeing the whole relationship with Damon and Enzo and this creature, you can call it," the actor said.

"The Vampire Diaries" season 8 will premiere on Friday, Oct. 21, at 8 p.m. EDT on The CW.
