'The Walking Dead' season 5 finale spoilers: Will Glenn die like in the comic? and who is 'W'?

(AMC/Facebook)

"The Walking Dead" broadcast a bone-chilling penultimate episode of season five, where audiences at home were on the edge of their seat as Rick almost killed Pete and babbled on about fighting or dying. That wasn't the only shocking aspect of the show, as Daryl and Aaron found a young woman tied up on a tree and her guts spewed out, with some eaten by Walkers. And who is or are "W"?

As is common with "The Walking Dead" show, fans can expect a major character's death. Not only did actor Norman Reedus warn fans to pack some tissues for Sunday's finale episode, but writers have never been shy about killing off characters. The Inquisitr notes that fan-favorite Daryl Dixon, Glenn and Carol are in danger of getting axed. Reedus and Melissa McBridge, who essays the role of Carol, are set to appear in "The Talking Dead", an after-show that traditionally hosts actors whose characters die on the episode to say their final goodbyes to fans.

Moreover, Reedus is the actor who warned fans to get tissues for the finale and his character is almost always amongst walkers due to his new job as recruiter of Alexandria.

Glenn is in danger because, in the comic books, he dies. New villain Neegan kills him off, but with no Neegan in sight, yet, he may still be around. Moreover, The Spoiling Dead fans' Facebook page reveals that Glenn gets shot in the shoulder by Nicholas, but still lives. Maggie's husband almost kills Nicholas but decides against it since he wants Alexandria to work for his troupe. Later, Glenn is even seen helping Nicholas walk.

The mystery continues surrounding W. Viewers saw, in many recent episodes, walkers with the letter 'W' written on them. Who is W? Is W bad boy Neegan or his group? Find out in the 90-minute finale that airs on March 29 at 9 p.m. ET on Sunday.
