'The Walking Dead' season 5 finale spoilers: major character may die; is Alexandria as safe as it looks?

(AMC)

The group reached their lowest point in a post-apocalyptic world before Aaron turned up and offered hope. Now that the group is in Alexandria, is the place all that it seems to be? AMC recently dished the synopsis of the remaining four episodes that gives a sense of where the story is heading.

Episode 13 of season five will show viewers how Rick and his group are attempting to acclimatize themselves with their new surroundings. After years of surviving and being on the road, it is hard for Rick's group, especially Darryl, to get used to Alexandria's care-free lifestyle. Tensions will rise amongst the residents as Rick's group struggles to fit in. The episode is titled "Forget".

Episode 14 of season five will see Rick's group facing more challenges and actually questioning if living in Alexandria is a good idea. In "Spend" Rick's troupe starts to doubt if surviving in a walker-afflicted world is better than being in Alexandria.

In episode 15 named "Try", the vagabond group comes to the realization that all is not what it seems within the walls of the safe-zone. Life within the community closely resembles life outside. The ragtag group faces a number of setbacks.

The last episode of the season, number 16 titled "Conquer", will see walkers threatening the walls of the community. As danger lurks outside the walls and threatens the safety of the community, Rick and his group feel even more like outsiders while defending the safe-zone. The 90-minute episode will also see Daryl in grave danger while going on a run, according to the International Business Times. Will Daryl die? The popular anti-hero just might, since actor Norman Reedus, who essays the role, is rumored to be leaving the series due to his tight schedule. The actor has various projects lined up which means his character may die or the season may end in a cliffhanger.

"The Walking Dead" airs every Sunday at 9 p.m. The season finale is scheduled to air on March 29.
