'The Walking Dead' season 6 spoilers: addition of psychologist, her cynical love interest, and a hardworking man to cast

"The Walking Dead" blew fans away with its shocking season five finale earlier this year. Rick was seen killing Jessie's abusive alcoholic husband Pete after her drunken husband paraded a gun and shot Reg, Deanna's husband. The level-headed leader gave Rick the permission to kill Pete who went ahead even as a shocked Morgan watched.

Season 6 may be months away, but since shooting has already begun, there are enough spoilers around to whet the insatiable appetite of any "The Walking Dead" fan.  A report by Melty reveals that three new characters have been added to the existing cast. One character is dubbed as Allison, who is a psychologist and Alexandrian, and will be appearing as a recurring guest star. Allison is described as smart, artful and charming who quickly turns awkward and messy when it comes to her personal life.

She prefers to stay in her comfort zone, but the true test of her mettle comes when the comfort zone is gone and life is at stake. Additionally, unlike many other characters, she isn't cynical and really cares about people. The publication speculates that the character is actually Dr. Denise Cloyd from the comic books and that AMC is using another name for casting in order to prevent potential spoilers. The network has done this before. Allison or Denise will appear in two and five episodes of season six.

If Dr. Cloyd is cast, then she will most likely be accompanied by her love interest, Heath. AMC had earlier released a casting call of a man named Delvin who Melty believes is Heath. Heath or Delvin is cynical and sarcastic who isn't angry, but thinks people are very dumb. Tucker is the third new character who is a hardworking, tough guy valuing fairness.

A tweet by the official "The Walking Dead" account confirms season six will air in October 2015.
