'The Walking Dead' season 7 episode 2 spoilers: Introducing King Ezekiel

(Facebook/TheWalkingDeadAMC)"The Walking Dead" season 7 airs Sundays at 9/8c on AMC.

The premiere episode of "The Walking Dead" season 7 really took a toll on fans emotionally. However, Negan's (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) reign is far from over. The upcoming episode will see more of the bat-wielding leader of the Saviors, as well as Ezekiel (Khary Payton) of the Kingdom.

The summary of the second episode, titled "The Well," reveals that some of the Alexandrian survivors will encounter a "well-established community" that will seem "too good to be true." This could be referring to the Kingdom, whose leader is the charismatic Ezekiel.

A promo trailer for the new episode has also been released and it teases Ezekiel's introduction. However, Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and the others who made it out alive still have Negan to deal with. The clip starts out with Negan — whose silhouette can be seen — knocking on the metal gates with his bat, Lucille. "Let me in," he commands, as the others look terrified and hopeless.

"Let me put this to all of you as clearly as I can. I'm not in charge anymore," Rick tells his group. "Negan is."

It certainly seems like Rick has cracked, especially after the events of the last episode. The season 7 premiere shook everyone, both emotionally and psychologically. After months of waiting for the big reveal of the identity of Negan's victim, fans got a double dose of heartache when the baddie killed, not one, but two beloved characters.

Abraham (Michael Cudlitz) and Glenn (Steven Yeun) were both on the receiving end of Negan's barbed wire-covered bat, Lucille. Abraham was the first to brutally get the bat, leaving a pool of blood on the ground. And just when fans thought that would be the end of it, Glenn took a blow to the head so hard that one of his eyes popped out of its socket. Negan finished him off after he had been punched by Daryl (Norman Reedus).
