"The Walking Dead" ended with a cliffhanger last season. As a result, many fans are hungry for any type of clue as to which character was on the receiving end of Negan's (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) barbed-wired bat, Lucille. Thankfully, there is a dedicated spoiler page for the hit AMC series which has provided a lot of insight and photographic evidence about season 7.

According to The Spoiling Dead Fans, Rick (Andrew Lincoln), Carl (Chandler Riggs), Daryl (Norman Reedus), Michonne (Danai Gurira), Aaron (Ross Marquand), Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green), and Maggie (Lauren Cohan) can be safely ruled out as the victims of Lucille since there are either photos or eyewitness accounts of them being near/on set.

The identity of the victim is being kept under wraps—and understandably so—since the revelation of such would spoil the surprise. However, what lengths are the producers going through to ensure that the secret is kept?

The Hollywood Reporter claims that sources have told them that 11 different death scenes have been shot so as not to spark any suspicions. However, The Spoiling Dead Fans disagree with the claim since filming 11 scenes for the sake of keeping a secret would be tedious and time-consuming.

As for what fans can expect in the new season, producer Greg Nicotero told Digital Spy that it's going to be quite different.

"The next season is a very different 'Walking Dead' from the one we are accustomed to," he said. "I think that people will enjoy that the show continues to change direction and doesn't just deliver the same thing over and over again. It's the logical place where our show should go. We close one chapter and open a whole new chapter."

Nicotero also revealed that they would stray from the source material, but will still stay true to the theme and some "iconic moments."

"The Walking Dead" season 7 will air in October 2016.
