'The Walking Dead' season 7 spoilers, news: Casting call for Ezekiel begins

(Facebook/TheWalkingDeadAMC)Who did Negan kill in season 6 finale?

Before "The Walking Dead" season 7 returns on the small screens later this year, the casting call has started for a new role, Ezekiel. Aside from the upcoming character, here is a roundup of possible plotlines on the zombie apocalypse show.

The search is on for the actor who will be playing Ezekiel. Ezekiel is a character straight from the comic books. Although it is initially a recurring role for several episodes of season 7, it could go on for several more.

Ezekiel is a self-proclaimed ruler of The Kingdom community. He is an eccentric and flamboyant man who has a pet tiger named Shiva. He has a strong hatred for Negan and the Saviors.

According to the show's fans Facebook page, Spoil Dead Fans, the casting call is looking for an African-American male in his 40s. He should be able to portray "a regal air of confidence and wisdom to his people, and he enjoys the respect they give him because of it."

As for the other plot spoilers for next season, based on the comics, Glenn is beaten to death by Negan as Maggie, Rick, and the other survivors watch. Although the show does not strictly follow the comics, Glenn's eventual death is still possible since the finale of season 6 saw Negan smashing someone's skull.

Although Negan is a dangerous foe, anyone can still negotiate with him. What he wants, he usually gets, and what he wants is Alexandria's absolute submission and half their supplies. In exchange of his demands are their lives and safety. If Rick declines the deal, Negan and his men will kill them all.

However, without the Alexandrian's knowledge, Rick has a plan in mind that he opts to keep to himself. To buy some time, he will give in to Negan's demands so he can give the opponent the impression of compliance. However, he is secretly creating an alliance to strengthen his forces and attack Negan's.

More information about "The Walking Dead" season 7 will be revealed soon, along with its premiere date.
