'The Walking Dead' season 7 spoilers: Negan kidnaps one of Rick's men; fan-favorite character to survive?

(Facebook/TheWalkingDeadAMC)Production for "The Walking Dead" season 7 has already started.

Talks about who got bludgeoned by Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) in the season 6 finale of "The Walking Dead" just keep getting stronger. While fans are trying to figure out who among Rick's (Andrew Lincoln) team gets to go in a brutal way, one character is speculated to be on the safe side.

Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) is one of the show's most beloved characters that it's no surprise that killing him off would result in a riot. It was previously rumored that he would be Negan's victim since Reedus had been offered other projects. However, spoilers from The Spoiling Dead Fans indicate that the crossbow-wielding favorite is very much alive.

Reedus has been spotted in "The Walking Dead" filming locations, which indicate that his character survived. According to The Spoiling Dead Fans' plot theory, after finishing off one character with his beloved barbed-wire-covered baseball bat, Negan decides to take one of Rick's group as Team Savior's prisoner and it is said to be the injured Daryl.

With Daryl being taken away, season 7 will focus heavily on him, according to Cleveland. The upcoming season could also feature the ongoing feud between Daryl and his nemesis, Dwight (Austin Amelio).

Knowing Daryl, he is also likely to try and find a way how to escape from the Saviors. The Inquisitr noted that he will attempt to escape more than once. Then again, there's also that possibility that Rick and the group will come to save one of their most valuable members.

If this plot theory is true, fans may not need to riot, but it's definitely going to be a heartbreaking season, knowing that another major character will have to go.

"The Walking Dead" season 7 premieres sometime this fall. The production team may have been so secretive about the details of the new season, but it's expected that even bigger spoilers could pop up soon.
